Tera Miller, LCSW

licensed psychotherapist

I am a clinical social worker and mental health therapist, but I feel like those titles barely scratch the surface of who I am and what I do.  I am a skills coach, a hope restorer, a connection builder. I help people–young and not-so-young–examine what’s working and what isn’t. Throughout our lifetimes, hard stuff happens.  I want others to be able to live their best lives, even when times get tough and terrible things happen. And I help folks do just that.

I believe in the strength, courage, and resilience you innately possess and will partner with you to build on these qualities to improve your health, safety, and well-being.  I will help you find peace, connection, functionality, and healing and give you the tools you need to make your relationships successful.

I absolutely love this work!  I am passionate about helping people see possibilities and engage in joyful, hope-filled, vibrant lives.

Career and Education:  Throughout my career, I have worked with a variety of individuals, couples, and families in emergency, inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings.  I also volunteered at the Utah Pride Center (2017-2019) co-facilitating a weekly support and resource group for parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ youth.

I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and am recognized as an independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing in the State of Utah.  Prior to graduate school I received a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies also from the University of Utah.
